Holiday Hill Christmas Tree Farm // Personal

Looking back over the majority of our blog posts this year, I've noticed we haven't shared as much personal work with everyone. I want to change that going forward. Not only does it give you a glimpse into our lives, but it allows you see who we are and what's important to us. We've had a lot of changes take place over the year, and it's been all good things. This spring Bethany earned her Masters degree from Indiana State University, as she continues to work towards her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (I can't say enough about how proud I am of her). In addition to her persistent studies and our year full of weddings, we are also expecting a baby in a few shorts week (or sooner - fingers crossed)! It's our first baby, and I can't even begin to explain the excitement that we've experienced all year. In preparation for our baby boy, we've kept very busy with getting everything ready for him (decorations, baby classes, baby-proofing the house)...and, of course that had to include getting our Christmas decorations up as soon as possible, so it'll be all ready for him when he arrives!

We spent last weekend at Holiday Hill Christmas Tree Farm in Terre Haute picking out the perfect tree for our holiday season. I know, I know it's not even Thanksgiving, but we couldn't wait! We've been decorating the house, watching Christmas movies, and drinking lots of hot cocoa. There's just something so magical about the Christmas season every year, and it only gets more exciting this December as our little one arrives soon. We took our camera with us as we picked out our tree because it's way too much fun to not document. We didn't take too many pictures, but I definitely wanted to share the few that we did take. The last picture in this post is from my iphone, so please excuse the quality of the photo. Bethany was hogging the good camera, and her smile in that photo is too cute to not share with everyone (not to mention her perfect little baby bump).

We pray and hope your holiday season is a blessed one! Enjoy every minute of your time with family and close friends. It's definitely the most wonderful time of the year.
